I recently started hosting at marathon events, helping to raise money for charity by acting as an emcee, reading donation messages, and supporting runners. I’ve hosted where I had few opportunities to come in, and some where I had a cozy conversation with the runner, acting as both commentary and host. I’ve worked runs with a constant stream of donations and at runs where the donations are fewer and farther between. I’d like to think I can handle a diverse range of hosting circumstances, and can keep chat engaged and donating.
The playlist above shows off everything I’ve hosted, but here’s a rundown of the events I have hosted for those who don’t want to sit through everything:
- Summer Games Done Quick 2024
- Flame Fatales 2024
- Running Through Wonderland
- Awesome Games Done Quick 2025
- Speed4 TLC
- Frost Fatales 2025
- RPG Limit Break 2025
- Prevent-A-Thon 5
- RTA in Japan Summer 2025 English Restream
- Flame Fatales 2025
- Games Done Queer 2025
- Awesome Games Done Quick 2026
- Summer Games Done Quick 2026
- MAGFast at MAGWest 2026
This definitely isn’t something I could have predicted for myself, but it’s incredibly fulfilling volunteer work. I’d love to find other chances to do work that taps into this same energy.
